I get fed up when I hear people say something is a scam. "Oh no! Bitcoin is a scam!". Really? Like the concept of money isn't a scam? "Oh no! Working from home is a Scam!". Really? like corporate jobs are not a scam?
Well I have news for you. Society and everything it produces is the mother of all scams! Yes, you heard me correctly. God, Gods, higher power -It's a scam Money - It's a scam Jobs - It's a scam The Government - It's a scam
The greater good - It's a scam
Religion - It's a scam
Love - it's a scam Friendship - it's a scam Culture - it's a scam Communism - It's a scam Capitalism - It's a scam Justice - It's a scam Morality - It's a scam Tradition - It's a scam Race - It's a scam Fun - It's a scam Justice - It's a scam Prison - It's a scam Marriage - it's a scam
The hypocrisy of it all is fucking unreal. If you live in a society, are a member of a society or you actively contribute to society, then I don't want to hear the word "Scam" come from your nasty ass, ignorant mouth.
Is it okay to scam people? Well, I think so. Money itself is a scam, but then we judge those trolls who scam people out of their money. Marriage is a scam, but we judge those who commit marriage fraud. If you don't want to be scammed, then quit society.

Believing something to be a scam just means you're going into it with the wrong expectations. How about you stop complaining about everything like a pessimist and start getting out of life what you want from it? Do you even know what you want? If not, think about it. Without a will, you have no inherent purpose. If your will is only to promote your cynicism, then get off your villain arc and cheer up; life has more to offer than you think.

Thanks for that. You know that I was just trolling to get a reaction out of people, right? I don't necessarily even believe the stuff that comes out of my own mouth when I post here. I just do it because I think it will be an interesting topic for a debate, or out of boredom from having some free time to kill.
With that said, let's explore this conversation and see where it will take us.
"Believing something to be a scam just means you're going into it with the wrong expectations"
Isn't that something a scammer would say? The dictionary definition of scam is literally to deceive and defraud.
Looking forward to your answer.

To scam someone is to deceive them about what to expect. To scam yourself is to deceive yourself about what to expect. Having realistic expectations and knowledge prevents that. What's there to be disappointed about if you got exactly what you hoped for?

What is a realistic expectation to have about God (or the Gods) and religion?
