I know we're few and busy, but it seems like this forum could use some activity. So, I'll start by asking you guys: - what's your favourite sport, if any? (could be more than one, of course)
- why do you like it/them?
- how were you introduced to it?
- did your father or any siblings had any influence on this? Is it a family tradition or is it more peer-related?
- do you play it? if yes, for how long; if not, did you?
- do you watch it?
- what's your favourite team? (in the case of a team sport) / what's your favourite player? (in case it's an individual sport or you like one/more than one player in particular?
- is it the most popular in your country?
- was it played in school/college/university?
No need to share private information such as your country or which high school/college/university you attended, if you don't want to. Alright? Now the ball is yours, whichever the shape or size of it.

what's your favourite sport, if any? (could be more than one, of course) I quite like martial arts, or if you'll forgive me I also like professional wrestling - at least I used to. I haven't watched wrestling and I haven't done martial arts in ages. The martial arts for friendship based around an interest, and the professional wrestling for the feuding and sometimes, depending on the brand, interesting or cheesy storylines!
I started doing/watching both through others I knew.
An acquaintance invited me to martial arts - TaeKwonDo, and a family member enjoyed professional wrestling.
I did TKD for a few months, and I play-fighted professional wrestling sometimes.
I have seen some TKD and other martial arts videos online, but I don't watch it, and since I couldn't get the TV channels I hadn't watched professional wrestling for ages. A newer brand came on TV but that is rubbish, so I stopped watching it.
I don't have any favourite players but I'll go for the usual Manchester United. I quite liked both RAW and Smackdown of WWE, and WWF before it lost against the World Wildlife Fund. For the newer brand, TNA/Impact! - meh. According to what I read online, when the WWF/WWE wrestlers came from there and went onto TNA/Impact!, it used to be good, but then it was bad. It is a bit under 20 years old, and the last time I saw it the audiences in the arenas weren't very big. The characters are, or were, so bad that they are not worthy of suspending disbelief for.
Football is, of course! I think it technically is classed as a religion - some do worship/follow it religiously! I know someone who visited a professional wrestling brand when it was here somewhere once.
I did a bit of wrestling play-fighting in school; others did football.

MMA & Football i especially like
Grew up loving football & i took up kickboxing about 10 years ago & fell in love with MMA, its like chess with extreme consequences.
School with football, & by starting kickboxing i began to appreciate the skill at the top levels of MMA & fell in love.
Regarding football my family are big followers so definitely influenced me. With MMA it was purely from doing it myself.
I played football up till about 8 years ago, i still do some MMA training mostly striking practice.
I watch both sports.
I follow Aston Villa football team. There's many fighters i love to watch but i especially like watching Alexander Volkinovski, Isreal Adesanya, Michael Chandler.
Aston villa definitely aren't the most popular in England lol. MMA is still a young sport & while its big here, its still not well known about to the average person.
I played football at school and county level, MMA didn't exist when i was at school lol.
